I’m Amy — genealogist, story finder, and your friendly neighborhood history sleuth in the foothills of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Around here, we don’t just collect names and dates. We uncover people — their struggles, their scandals, their courage, their stories.

These one on one zoom consultations are designed for hobby genealogists who are researching their own families and would like a little guidance along the way. We’ll review your research together, look at records, talk through brick walls, and explore possible next steps to help you keep moving forward.
Because we meet on zoom, we can share screens and look at documents, census pages, newspapers, and family trees together in real time.
Before your session, you’ll have the option to send a link to your tree or a short description of the question you’d like help with so we can focus on the puzzle that brought you here.

From there, I start digging.
